Madoa is an American emcee and one half of the group “The Drop Squad” –  a hip hop group consisting of Madoa and his partner Botti.  Madoa was raised in Newport News, VA, and since then has moved to Raleigh N.C. where he currently attends graduate school.

In addition to being a member of The Drop Squad, Madoa is also the co-founder of the indie hip-hop label Rhyme Corp. A title he also shares alongside partner Botti.

In 2010 the dynamic duo better known as The Drop Squad released a mixtape project called, “The Drop” which received critical acclaim. The debut project was not only well received, but praised for its stellar production and diverse subject matter.

After a brief hiatus, Madoa returned with the release of a brand new single from his forthcoming solo project called, “Witt.”  The CD single “City Lights (Raleigh Tribute)” has been featured on multiple blogs and has received rave reviews. In fact, Bloggerhouse.net had this to say about it, “City Lights became an instant classic,” and “a track that could be one of my favorites of the year” also “one of the reasons I still keep blogging.”

As he prepares for the release of his new project entitled "Witt", Madoa wants people to know that he’s not just another emcee, but a business man, Co-founder and President of Rhyme Corp, as well as a graduate student studying Mandarin.

Here's what he has to say about the importance of a college education: "Having a college education is extremely important. Since the U.S. has made the transition from a manufacturing economy to a service economy many of the blue collar jobs that sustained thousands of families in the 50s & 60s are no long there. It's important to continue with the pursuit of higher education and the acquisition of a degree that will allow you to be marketable and compatible with the jobs of the future."

Here's what he's saying about our efforts: "I am indebted to The Hip Hop Head Foundation and honored to be a part of what they're doing. It's a noble task and I'd love to just be a part of it."
